Beijing International Book Fair
From 21 to 25 of August, 2019, the annual International Book Fair dedicated to publishing and printing activities will be held in the capital of China. Beijing Book Fair is Asia’s largest international exhibition.
This is not the first time the Moscow Government has been participating in the Beijing International Book Fair, presenting the latest and greatest publications issued as part of the Moscow Government’s Publishing Program.
As part of its participation in the book exhibition, the Moscow Government presents more than 175 book and multimedia publications and holds a program of events dedicated to the activities of the Publishing Program: creative meetings with Moscow writers and presentation of books of the Publishing Program of the Moscow Government.
On August 21, at 12:00, at the stand of the Publishing Program of the Government of Moscow, a grand opening of the media exposition of the Publishing Program of the Government of Moscow will take place.
On August 24, at 11:00, an off-site event will be held dedicated to the publication of the book “Vladimir Mayakovsky. The Choice of Sergey Biryukov”, in which Sergey Biryukov and Chinese poets-translators from the composition, translating from Russian into Chinese an anthology of “100 Poems about Moscow” .
On August 24 at 12:00, Pavel Gnilorybov, a historian, guide, and Moscow scholar, will present the book “Moscow is growing”, about Moscow, its past, present and future, released with the support of the Moscow Government’s publishing program, as part of a creative meeting. Gnilorybov will hold an event with an overview of new products released with the support of the Moscow Government publishing program: S. Velichko, S. Kryukovsky. “Zamoskorechye. Family quest book”, I.D. Rodin, M.Yu. Strekozova, V.V. Goidenko. “The Grand Kremlin Palace. Greatness. Memory. Edification”, L.G. Eremin. “Tsaritsyno in diaries and memoirs”, Z.V. Zolotitskaya, T.V. Ivanova. “Matvey Kazakov and pre-fire Moscow”.
Then at 14:00 a creative meeting will be held with Yuri Nechiporenko, a Russian prose writer, art critic, artist, culturologist, author of novelties: “About the Living House” and “Gingerbread”, released with the support of the Moscow Government’s publishing program.
